Well, It wasn’t exactly at the level of the AOP awards or the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize but I was asked to be a judge and decisions had to be made.
This was the “Playtime” themed photography competition on the Photocrowd website as referred to in my previous post.
The Judging process on the site was extremely well put together which made it less time consuming than I imagined and writing reviews of the winning images and a selection of others was a very positive and surprisingly enjoyable experience.
Getting the images down to the final few and ranking them in an order of preference was the hard bit but here are what turned out to be my top three.
To see them in more detail and the rest of my choices and reviews you can use the following links:
I would heartily recommend anyone getting involved with Photocrowd in a judging capacity. It is an interesting process to pit yourself against the Crowd vote and to find images that you think truly do stand out from the crowd.
